Current member of the Works Council
Short introduction
Calm but diligent, Klaus combines a structured and analytical mindset with a strong sense of fairness. He values understanding the “why” behind decisions and focuses on building solutions that are grounded in reality.
Why I’m running
Before joining Delivery Hero, I worked as a lawyer in Mexico, where I made a conscious decision not to accept corruption as part of the system. I moved to Germany to build a different kind of professional environment, starting from scratch. When I later saw the challenges employees face here, I decided to stop observing and start contributing directly.
Through my experience in employee representation, I believe that a Works Council can do much more by focusing consistently on what employees actually need. For me, effective representation means being accessible, listening carefully, and translating employee concerns into concrete action. I am running because I believe every employee deserves a Works Council that is transparent, grounded in reality, and clearly focused on delivering results.
My focus topics
- Career & Development Systems
- Remote & Hybrid Work
- Job Security & Stability
What perspective I bring
I work as a Software Engineer in Logistics, where I regularly deal with complex systems and problem-solving in a structured and analytical way. My background as a trained lawyer has also shaped how I approach topics, with a strong focus on legal frameworks, evidence-based reasoning, and clear argumentation.
In my day-to-day work, I see frequent changes in structures and benefits, recurring reorganizations, and a high level of employee turnover. This creates uncertainty for many employees and makes it difficult to build a stable and predictable working environment.
In addition, I am a fully released Works Council member and actively involved in employee representation as a former member of "Worker Heroes". This gives me direct insight into both employee concerns and organizational processes. I bring a mindset that values questioning assumptions, understanding root causes, and working towards long-term, sustainable solutions, including stronger structural frameworks such as more permanent agreements.
What employees can expect from me
- Honest and transparent communication about what is possible, what is not, and what requires sustained effort
- A focus on listening first and contributing in a clear and direct way when it matters
- A strong commitment to decisions based on evidence, legal frameworks, and documented realities
- A willingness to use all available tools, including expert input, to achieve the best outcomes for employees
One personal note
I practice gratitude daily and try to focus on what truly matters beyond the day-to-day routine. I believe in leaving things better than I found them and in making the most of the time we have. I tend to question things, not to challenge for the sake of it, but to better understand how and why they work.
